Alaa Zouiten Alaa Zouiten was born in Casablanca, Morocco. There he began his musical career as a master on the oud. Carrying the heritage of both classical Arabic music and traditional Moroccan Music. Alaa has found a home in the metropolis of Berlin. Working with musicians in different backgrounds, he has made it his mission to create a modern soundscape inspired by all the world's musical traditions, where there is no hierarchy of styles or cultures. Alaa is also curator of transcultural music projects.	Afalkay Bird of melodies and crosses, a migratory bird that perches on the musical traditions of one land to take them to another and creates a new drawing with its flight. In it we discover the clear traces of the Arab-Andalusian music of northern Morocco, the deep traces of the Gnaoua music of the Sahara, the flapping of the Issaoua and other Berber music, the background of the oriental classical maqams and the nearby whistle of jazz.	Saïd Chalaban Chalaban combines the traditions of the band members' homeland with music from the Carpathian Basin. The music sees a return to their African roots, with the discovery of South Moroccan musical influences which stretch even further south to the Sudan region: it is there that the Moroccan guembri meets the Burkino Faso kora and the Guinean balafon. While the lyrics talk of homesickness, spirituality and love, the music shows traces of desert blues, afrobeat and trance-music.
Morgane Ji She is the perfect example of the successful blending of multiple ancestry, as befits her native Réunion. A volcanic temperament, with mysterious African, Indian and Asian roots. As for her style and aesthetic approach, no-one has managed to put her into any pigeonhole. She strives to create the unexpected. An uncategorisable rock pop musician and practitioner of world electronic music, though immediately recognisable thanks to her unique voice – protean, raspy, soft, animal-like.	Mahmoud Chouki Mahmoud “Mood” Chouki is a master guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and composer currently living and working in New Orleans. His art draws together music from several different international contexts to explore how music may speak across cultural divides. His own compositions incorporate musical influences from across the globe, ranging from European classical, Andalusian (Southern Spain), Levantine music (Middle East), Maghrebian music (North Africa), Latin American music, and Jazz from the US.	The French Horn Collection The French Horn Collective is an ensemble lead by Vincent Raffard on the Trumpet, Guitar and French Vocals, joined by other amazing musicians and talented vocalists. It’s a fusion of Gypsy Jazz, Traditional Jazz, French Standards, Original Compositions, Electro and Hot Swing, Blues and Gospel.
Majid Bekkas The talented multi-instrumentalist is both attached to his moroccan tradition and open to encountering other musical cultures. Known for his collaborations with jazz artists such as Archie Shepp and Joachim Kuhn, this creator mixes blues, jazz, soul, and Tagnaouite genres. He learned to play the oud at the national conservatory of music and dance in Rabat, and in parallel the culture of the Gnaoua brotherhoods alongside Maâlem Ba Houmane, where he mastered the guembri.
